Why we use it
To provide the services in our engagement letter (contract).

To run and improve our practice and keep clients informed about changes that affect them (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with
HMRC, Companies House and other authorities, as your work requires.
Trusted providers that help us run the practice, such as accounting, payroll, cloud storage, email, identity checking and AI tools. They act on our instructions under contracts that protect your data.
Our regulator ACCA, our insurers and professional advisers where needed, and law enforcement where the law requires it.
We never sell your information.
Our use of AI
We use business-grade AI tools to help with routine work. Your information isn’t used to train AI models, and a qualified accountant reviews all work before it goes to you or HMRC.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the ICO’s international data transfer agreement.
How long we keep it
Usually for six years after our work for you ends, to meet tax and company law requirements. Anti-money laundering records are kept for at least five years after our relationship ends. After that we delete or securely destroy them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to move elsewhere. Some rights are limited where the law requires us to keep records.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
